The Chelmsford Classical Guitar Orchestra - 'Chego', was formed in September 2011 playing repertoire arranged by its director Roger Montgomery and which includes great music of all styles.

If you play classical guitar, have some music reading ability, live in the Chelmsford area and wish you could play with others and be part of something bigger, playing with 'Chego' will be for you. 

We meet at Keene Hall, Galleywood, Chelmsford CM2 8PT on Wednesdays from 7.30-9.30 approximately fortnightly; dates for the spring term 2012 are: January 11th and 18th, February 8th and 22nd and March 7th and 21st 

Music is provided; guitarists need to bring a nylon-strung guitar, music stand, footstool or other support and a pencil. The music arrangements will aim to cover a range of abilities but the class is not for beginners - some basic sight-reading and playing ability is essential and some home practising of individual parts may often be necessary.

The membership fee each term may vary according to the number of weeks and is £63 for the seven weeks of the autumn term or £10 each session; those interested should first contact Roger either by email: rogermontgomery@hotmail.co.uk or phone on 07773 155981.
